When you’re off to school, your relative’s house or an exciting event, what do you usually check?
Nice and tidy hair style?
Clean and ironed clothes?
How about your shoes, do you also make sure they are clean and shiny?
If you say yes, then this is the project for you.
You will love this shoe polish. It is easy to make and you only need 3 things to make it.
If your friends see how your shoes shine, maybe you can even sell to them too or start a teaching class for a fee!
What you need
- 1 lemon
- Olive Oil
- A small container with a cover.
**How to make it Step 1 – Squeeze out all the juice from your lemon.
Remove all the seeds and other particles from the lemon juice. There should only be liquid left.
Use the cover of your olive oil to measure out 2 caps of lemon juice. Or you can measure 2 tablespoons of juice. Put this in your clean, small container.
Use the cover of your olive oil to measure out 4 caps of olive oil. Or you can measure out 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Add this to the lemon juice in your container.
Mix the lemon juice and olive oil together very well.
And that’s all!
How to use
Step 1 – Dip a clean rag in the polish and rub all over your shoe. Then leave the shoe for some minutes.
Use the rag to buff the shoe (this means rubbing it with the rag with some force so it shines)
Here is the shoe before…
And see it after it is polished…
Things to remember
- Always apply shoe polish to already clean shoes.
- Do not use this polish on suede shoes. If you do, it will get stained. It can be used for any colour of shoe
- This polish will last up to 1 week if it is not stored in the fridge. It will last up to one month if you keep in the fridge.
