New Year, New Me

Happy New Year Springsters!

With the New Year comes the chance for you to make new plans and set new goals.

Make a new friend. Read more books. Learn a trade or skill. Talk to the boy you like. Save some money. These are all things you can do.

This year, you can be healthier and happier. Here are some simple tips to help you do just that!

Eat Better
Your growing body needs a lot of nutrients. Do your body the favour of eating right. Get plenty of protein from beans, eggs, fish or meat.
Do you like drinking sugary drinks? Set a goal on how to reduce how much sugary drinks you take. For example you can decide to only take one sugary drink in a week.
Set a goal to drink more water. For example you can set a goal to drink a cup of water immediately you wake up every morning. Set a goal to eat fruit and vegetables at least twice a week.

Move more
Exercise keeps you healthy. It makes your heart stronger and can make you feel happier. It doesn’t have to be hard. You can jog. Stroll with a friend. Even dance to your favourite songs.

Try something new
Be curious about things around you. Every time we try something new, we learn. It helps us grow as people. Try a new food. Read a different kind of book. Learn how to play a game or sport.

Build yourself up
Attitude is everything. You have to believe in yourself. Remind yourself how awesome you are. Every morning, look in the mirror and say I am smart, I am strong, I am beautiful, I can do great things, I am a rare gem.

Springster you can have great year. Work towards it. Be consistent. Believe you can do it.
