Don’t let it hurt you
There are times when some people will say things or act in ways that are hurtful.
Like make fun of the shape of your head. Laugh at the way you dress or look.
Some people will laugh at your ideas and dreams. When you tell them you want to become a surgeon, dentist, or engineer, they will mock you. They might even say stuff like “it is not possible”.
Their behaviour can affect your confidence.
The truth is you might not be able to control how people behave towards you. You can however choose not to let it affect you Yes, when they laugh at you it hurts you. But you can’t go about fighting everyone that mocks you.
You don’t have to see yourself the way they see you.
When next they make fun of you, tell them how it makes you feel. You can nicely say “I really don’t like it when you call me olodo (dullard), it makes me feel bad”
If the person continues to mock report them to a trusted adult like a parent or older sibling that can speak to them.
Sometimes you can turn their hurtful words into something playful. For example if they call you big head you can say *“oh it’s because I have plenty brain”, when they say you have big eyes “say it’s because I want to see the world”. *
This way they will know you are not moved anymore. It will make them know that their words or actions don’t affect your feelings.
Don’t let what people say determine who you are. Let them laugh, it won’t change how great you are.

Hey sam! CHOMMY is right. You need to let them know that you do not like the way they speak to you. You do not have to be rude or insulting to make your point because it will only end in exchange of words which is not right. Hey moniel! We are so sorry about this. Some people can be bullies and also body shame but do not let this affect you. Your edges may not grow well because it is hormonal and not everyone has perfect edges. What you need to do is to be confident about this and also learn to love your edges the way are. Hey Harbeynih! Thanks for the comment. The fact that you are a stammerer does not mean that you should not have a voice. No one should ever make you feel that way. You are special and also very intelligent and nothing should ever make you hold back your opinion. You need to start talking again. With stammering, once you learn breath control and also learn to take your time so that you won't stammer too much and so that you can be heard, you can even become a public speaker. Hey akilo123! Thanks for the comment. Misty is correct, you should not let them laugh at you. This is what makes you different and unique and you should not let anyone make you feel bad about this. If you want to work on the "H-factor" (as it is called), you will have to be conscious about the way you talk and take your time to say your words. This is a lot of work that requires lots of patience and time. If you cannot cope with the effort, you should just be confident even with the way you speak and you will see that your classmates will not be able to make jest of you again. We hope this helps
Yes there will be laughing @ you, but you won't let the laugh hurt you because who laugh last laugh best those laughers they're here in my community and they don't see good things in their lives because if you don't want anybody to be prosper you shall not be prosper too. Hey fumy! Thanks for the comment. There is no standard way a girl should look so the fact that you do not have big breasts, does not mean that you automatically look like a boy. Do not let it get to you but learn to love your body because once you do, you will see that others will begin to appreciate you even more. There are so many girls out there with small breasts that will even make others want to look like them. Do you know why? Countless time I have encroached into similar issues especially with my cronies. When it comes to talks that has to do with relationship, future they limit my dreams and ambition. Often times, I feel bad and keep quite but with time I got to know that most things are just inevitable and to myself, I said "guy, you need to boss up". Since then, I build my defence around their words. It really helps. I advise anyone in same shoes to do so, it worked for me I hope it does same to you!

Well, I have been in this situation. I have a bad posture which was caused by me, I mean due to my shyness then and NW it has result to a slumped back and I have bad shape of legs. People use to laugh at my legs especially and one even called me 'triangle' legs and since that day I have been feeling very bad

This happened to me before in my first year of primary school and it really bothered me because the other girls wouldn't talk to me just because I had the same hairstyle for more than a week or I carried the same school bag for two terms. I always talked to my mum about it and she helped build my confidence back and ignore the comments from the girls.
