Although we can’t get back to everyone's questions we want you to know that we care about you and your wellbeing. Therefore if you need further support here is some advice and resources for you.

Talk to someone

Although it might be difficult for you, it is really important that you find someone to talk to, a safe adult that you trust. This might be a family member, a neighbour or someone else in your community or at school. This person should be able to help you get the support you need from others. You could also talk to your best friend and they could help you tell a trusted adult.

Further Support

If you don’t have anyone talk to, or just want to receive some advice, there are several free and confidential helplines in Nigeria.

1. <b>Education as a Vaccine (My Question)</b> has a hotline which you can call on 08027192781 (please note this lines are not free and you will be charged for calling) or you can text SMS them on 38120 (SMS is free on MTN, Airtel and Glo). My Question will answer any questions you have about your body (puberty), relationships and sex.
2. <b>CeCe Yara Foundation</b> run a dedicated free child helpline for survivors of child sexual assaolt and abuse: 0800 800 8001 You can also send them an SMS or WhatsApp message on SMS - 09085692623 (Please note that you woold be charged for an SMS)
3. <b>The Mirabel Centre (a Sexual Assaolt Referral Centre)</b> in Lagos, also has two helplines: 0815 5770000; 070134917699 ( please note this lines are not free and you will be charged for calling). Most of the people it helps are children, they are very child and youth friendly.
4. For anyone who is concerned about <b>trafficking</b> there is a specific toll-free helpline that is open 24/7: 0800 22556 27847 (please note this line is not free and you will be charged for calling). It has an emergency rescue and response service and is considered youth friendly.
