Figure it out in three steps
What do you want to be when you grow up? Ugh! This can be such a tough question, especially when you have no idea what to say.
Anyway, there’s no need to worry. These three steps will help you out. Ready? Here we go:
1. Consider What You Enjoy Doing
Your career should be something you really love doing. So think about the things you love most. Crazy about drawing? Maybe you should be an artist. Enjoy telling stories? Writing might just be your thing. Good at maths? You could be a businesswoman or an accountant someday.
2. Ask Your Loved Ones What You’re Good At Doing
Don’t know what your talent is? You’re not alone. Talk to those who know you very well like your sisters, brothers and close friends. They care about you and they’re rooting for you. So they’re likely to be honest with you. They can help you find your talent and make something out of it.
3. Explore New Things
Keep your eyes open. You may discover a career you didn’t know before. You could learn new skills such as coding and graphic design. There are tons of exciting things to try. Who knows? You might even end up discovering a skill you didn’t know you had.
If you already know what you want to be when you grow up, you rock! If you don’t know yet, you rock! There are no winners or losers here.
Remember, you won’t discover what you want to be overnight. It's a journey and journeys take time. Just be patient and let things happen naturally. If you follow your heart, you're likely to end up where you’re meant to be.
